Eric Clapton (born 30 March 1945 in Ripley, Surrey) is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter who shaped the sound of rock and blues across six decades. He rose to fame with the Yardbirds, Cream and Derek and the Dominos before building one of the most enduring solo careers in rock history. Rolling Stone ranked him second on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, and he remains the only artist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times - as a solo performer and as a member of both the Yardbirds and Cream.
Clapton announced a six-city U.S. arena tour for September 2026, with Jimmie Vaughan as special guest.
A deluxe reissue of the 1989 double-platinum album Journeyman was released on 21 November 2025, featuring four bonus tracks recovered from the original sessions.
An expanded version of Clapton's iconic 1992 MTV Unplugged concert premiered in select theaters in January 2025 and began streaming on Paramount+ in February 2025.
The studio album Meanwhile, featuring collaborations with Jeff Beck and Van Morrison, received its physical CD and vinyl release in January 2025.
