Eric Johnson (born August 17, 1954, Austin, Texas) is an American guitarist, vocalist, and composer whose playing draws on rock, blues, jazz, and fusion. His 1990 platinum album Ah Via Musicom made him an international name, and the instrumental "Cliffs of Dover" from that record won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. Inducted into the Guitar Player Gallery of Greats and listed among the 100 Greatest Guitarists of the 20th Century by Musician magazine, he has accumulated over a dozen Grammy nominations across a career spanning more than four decades.
Johnson announced an 11-date UK leg of the Texaphonic Tour for July-August 2026, his first European shows in over a decade.
The Texaphonic Europe Tour includes a date in Prague (July 15) and Luxembourg (July 17) before the UK leg begins.
Johnson joined the Allman-Betts Band as a special guest for a series of shows, performing alongside Devon Allman and Duane Betts.
