Europe is a Swedish hard rock band formed in 1979 in Upplands Väsby, outside Stockholm. Their 1986 album The Final Countdown made them global stars - the title track hit #1 in 25 countries and has since surpassed 1.4 billion YouTube views, making it one of the most-streamed rock songs in history. After a hiatus through the 1990s, the classic lineup of Joey Tempest, John Norum, Mic Michaeli, John Leven and Ian Haugland reunited in 2003 and has been recording and touring ever since, with their 12th studio album Come This Madness due in September 2026.
