About

Extrabreit is a German rock band from Hagen, North Rhine-Westphalia, founded in 1978 by guitarist Stefan 'Kleinkrieg' Klein. They became one of the defining acts of the Neue Deutsche Welle with their anarchic mix of punk, rock and biting social commentary, scoring two gold records in 1982 - the year 'Hurra, hurra, die Schule brennt' made them the most successful German band of that year. After several breakups and reunions, the band has been continuously active since 2002, playing sold-out club tours every winter and returning to major festivals like Wacken Open Air.
