About

Fifth Angel is an American heavy metal band from Bellevue, Washington, formed in 1983 as part of the same Seattle-area scene that produced Queensrÿche and Metal Church. Their 1986 self-titled debut - co-produced by Terry Date and later picked up by Epic Records - became a cult classic in European metal circles, and the 1989 follow-up Time Will Tell cemented their reputation for melodic, riff-driven power metal. After disbanding in 1990, the band returned to active status in 2017, signing with Nuclear Blast and releasing two new studio albums: The Third Secret (2018) and When Angels Kill (2023).
