Fliehende Stürme are a German depro-punk and dark wave act founded in the mid-1980s when singer-guitarist Andreas Löhr renamed his Stuttgart hardcore band Chaos Z and shifted toward a darker, more melodic sound. The project blends drum machines, synthesizers and reverb-drenched guitars with German-language lyrics that move between personal despair and social critique - drawing comparisons to Joy Division, Killing Joke and Bauhaus. After the death of co-founder Thomas Löhr in 1995, Andreas has carried the band as a solo project with rotating live musicians, releasing ten studio albums and maintaining a cult following across the German-speaking punk and gothic underground.
