Gary Moore (4 April 1952 - 6 February 2011) was a Northern Irish guitarist and singer-songwriter from Belfast whose career spanned blues, hard rock, heavy metal, and jazz fusion across more than four decades. He first made his name with the Dublin blues-rock group Skid Row in the late 1960s, then served multiple stints as guitarist with Thin Lizzy alongside Phil Lynott, and later built a substantial solo career. His 1990 album Still Got the Blues - recorded with guests including Albert King and Albert Collins - became his biggest commercial success and cemented his reputation as one of the finest blues-rock guitarists of his generation.
BMG announced reissues of four late-career Gary Moore albums for 2026, including Old New Ballads Blues (2006), Close As You Get (2007), and Bad for You Baby (2008).
A posthumous live release, Gary Moore Live - From Baloise Session, was issued in 2025, continuing a series of archival releases from his estate.
A limited vinyl edition of Live From Baloise Session was pressed in the Netherlands in 2025 under licence to Mascot Music Productions.
