Sir Gary Oldman (born 21 March 1958, London) is a British actor whose career spans more than four decades of film, television and theatre. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour (2017) and has since earned further acclaim as the slovenly MI5 handler Jackson Lamb in the Apple TV+ spy drama Slow Horses (2022-). His range - from Sid Vicious and Count Dracula to Sirius Black and Commissioner Gordon - has made him one of the most versatile performers of his generation.
