About

Genesis are an English rock band formed in 1967 at Charterhouse School in Surrey, counting Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford and Phil Collins among their longest-serving members. In the 1970s, with Peter Gabriel as frontman and Steve Hackett on guitar, they were pioneers of progressive rock; after Gabriel's departure in 1975, Collins took over as lead vocalist and the band shifted toward a more pop-oriented sound, eventually selling over 100 million records worldwide. Their farewell tour, The Last Domino?, concluded in March 2022 at London's O2 Arena, and the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
