Gigi D'Agostino (born Luigino Celestino Di Agostino, 17 December 1967, Turin) is an Italian DJ and producer who began his career in 1986 spinning Italo disco and rose to international fame around the turn of the millennium. He is credited as one of the pioneers of Mediterranean Progressive Dance and later coined the Lento Violento subgenre. His 1999 album L'Amour Toujours and singles such as 'Bla Bla Bla' and 'The Riddle' topped charts across Europe, and his 2018 collaboration with Dynoro, 'In My Mind', reached number one in Germany and over 20 other countries.
Gigi D'Agostino is currently on a 2026 tour with 7 scheduled concerts across Austria, Italy and Germany, opening at Olympiahalle in Innsbruck on 3 June 2026.
D'Agostino completed a 10-concert run in 2025, continuing his comeback after a two-year illness-related hiatus.
D'Agostino appeared as a guest on the Sanremo Festival 2024 cruise ship broadcast - his first television appearance - marking his public return after a serious illness.
The melody of 'L'Amour Toujours' was banned by organizers of several festivals in Germany in May 2024, after it was used at a club on the island of Sylt in connection with nationalist slogans.
In December 2021, D'Agostino publicly announced a serious illness that forced him into a two-year hiatus from performing; he recovered and resumed touring in 2024.
