GIMS (born Gandhi Djuna in Kinshasa in 1986, raised in France) is a Franco-Congolese rapper and singer who first broke through as a founding member of Sexion d'Assaut, then built one of the biggest solo careers in French-language music. His six studio albums span hip-hop, afropop and R&B, and he has sold over 5 million records; in 2025 he became the most-streamed album artist in France on Spotify.
GIMS's album 'Le Nord se souvient: L'Odyssée' was the most-streamed album in France on Spotify for 2025, with four of his tracks placing in the French top 10 songs of the year.
GIMS sold out five consecutive shows at Paris La Défense Arena in December 2025, drawing a total of 200,000 spectators.
