Greg Mendez is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who has been active in the city's DIY indie scene since 2006. His music - lo-fi folk recorded largely at home, often straight to tape - deals in confessional lyrics about addiction, relationships, and everyday fragility. The 2023 self-titled album brought him wide attention and a deal with Dead Oceans; his follow-up, Beauty Land (2026), has drawn comparisons to Elliott Smith and cemented his reputation as one of indie folk's most distinctive voices.
