About
Guana Batz are an English psychobilly band formed in 1982 in Feltham, West London, widely regarded as one of the genre's founding acts. Fronted by vocalist Pip Hancox alongside guitarist Stuart Osborne, they built their reputation as regulars at the Klub Foot - the London club that effectively gave birth to the psychobilly scene. Their 1985 debut album 'Held Down to Vinyl...At Last!' topped the UK Independent Chart, and the follow-up 'Loan Sharks' (1986) proved an even bigger underground hit. After disbanding in the early 1990s and reuniting in 1998, the band has continued to headline psychobilly festivals worldwide, releasing new material as recently as 2018.
