Gyda Valtýsdóttir is an Icelandic cellist and vocalist, best known as a founding member of the experimental group múm. Since leaving the band she has pursued a solo path that blends classical music, ambient and folk. She has collaborated with artists such as John Cale and Nico Muhly.
