Hatebreed are an American metalcore and hardcore band from Connecticut, active since 1994 and fronted by vocalist Jamey Jasta. Their albums Perseverance (2002) and The Rise of Brutality (2003) broke into the Billboard Top 30 and cemented their reputation as one of the most uncompromising live acts in heavy music. The band received a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2005 and has sold over 1.5 million records in North America alone.
