Heaven 17 are a Sheffield synth-pop band formed in 1980 by Martyn Ware and Glenn Gregory, both formerly of The Human League. Their second album The Luxury Gap (1983) reached number 4 on the UK Albums Chart, went platinum, and produced the near-chart-topping single 'Temptation'. After co-founder Ian Craig Marsh departed in 2006, Ware and Gregory have carried on as a duo, touring regularly and celebrating the band's catalogue across Europe.
