Heinz Rudolf Kunze, born on 30 November 1956 in Espelkamp, is a German rock singer, songwriter, and author who has released 47 studio albums and sold over four million records. He broke through in 1985 with the hit "Dein ist mein ganzes Herz" and has since built a reputation as one of Germany's most literate rock voices, performing with his long-standing band Verstärkung. Beyond music, he has published 13 books and translated major musicals including Les Misérables and Miss Saigon into German. He holds the Niedersächsischer Staatspreis and the GEMA Fred-Jay-Preis for songwriting, and serves as cultural ambassador of Lower Saxony.
