Les contes d'Hoffmann (Hoffmann's Tales) is an opera by Jacques Offenbach, premiered posthumously in Paris in 1881. The libretto draws on the fantastical stories of E. T. A. Hoffmann. Its most famous excerpt is the Barcarolle from the Venetian act.
