Horst Evers (born Gerd Winter, 1967 in Niedersachsen) is a German cabaret artist and author based in Berlin, widely regarded as the foremost storyteller in German-language cabaret. He co-founded the legendary Berlin reading stage "Dr. Seltsams Frühschoppen" in 1990 and has since built a loyal following with his absurdist, warmly observed takes on everyday life. His story collections and crime novels - including "Der König von Berlin" and "Wer alles weiß, hat keine Ahnung" - are bestsellers, and he has received the Deutscher Kabarettpreis and the Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis.
