Imha Tarikat is a German black metal project founded in 2015 by Kerem Yilmaz (performing as Ruhsuz Cellât), who has Turkish roots - the name itself is Turkish for "extermination sect". Signed to Prophecy Productions, the band has built a reputation for emotionally raw, high-intensity live performances and a sound that draws on second-wave Norwegian black metal while refusing to be boxed in by genre convention. Four studio albums released between 2019 and 2025 have steadily pushed the project from underground cult status toward wider recognition in the European metal press.
Imha Tarikat released their fourth studio album "Confessing Darkness" via Prophecy Productions on June 20, 2025, receiving a 9/10 cover story and Album of the Month in Deaf Forever magazine.
Knotfest described "Confessing Darkness" as "the fourth full length from the project and arguably their finest" and called Imha Tarikat "black metal for the modern age".
MetalBite awarded "Confessing Darkness" a score of 8.4/10, calling it the band's "most aggressive, most vulnerable, and strongest statement so far".
Imha Tarikat announced and completed the "Furor Detonation Tour" across Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland and the Netherlands in December 2024, supported by UK band Ante-Inferno.
The band announced upcoming live dates including a debut concert in Istanbul (December 2025) and an appearance at Beyond the Gates Festival in Bergen (July 2026).
