Ingo Metzmacher

Ingo Metzmacher is a German conductor born in 1957. He is known for his commitment to 20th- and 21st-century music and has worked with major orchestras worldwide, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the Concertgebouworkest. From 1997 to 2005 he served as General Music Director of the Hamburg State Opera.
