About

Jamaram is a Munich-based eight-piece band founded in 2000 by vocalist Tom Lugo, drummer Murxen Alberti and guitarist Sam Hopf. Rooted in reggae and dub, their live shows pull in ska, Latin, Afrobeat, hip-hop and Balkan grooves - a range the band calls the "Jamaram Stylee". Over 25 years they have released more than a dozen albums and toured Europe, Africa and South America, averaging around 100 concerts a year.

    Jamaram released the EP "Mor:ning" on 18 April 2024, a six-track collaboration with reggae veteran Jahcoustix on Oneness Records / Turban Records.

    The band released the studio album "El Peor" in 2023, continuing a run of annual releases that also included the live album "20 Years Live" (2020) and "Hallo" (2022).
