Jamel Debbouze is a French comedian and actor of Moroccan descent, born in Paris in 1975. He built his name in stand-up comedy before reaching a wider audience with his role as Lucien in the film Amélie (2001). He also founded the Jamel Comedy Club, a platform that gives emerging comics a stage.
