About

Jan Borysewicz (born 17 April 1955 in Wrocław) is the co-founder, guitarist and principal composer of Lady Pank, one of the most enduring Polish rock bands, active since 1981. A self-taught musician, he wrote nearly the entire band's catalogue and shaped a guitar sound that defined Polish rock in the 1980s. Under the alias Jan Bo he also pursues a solo career, and in 2026 he launched the Festiwal Jana Borysewicza - a guitar-centred festival tied to the opening of Stratocastle, a new guitar museum in Ćmielów.
