The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) is a New York-based big band founded in 1988 under the direction of trumpeter and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Wynton Marsalis. As the resident orchestra of Jazz at Lincoln Center - the world's first performing arts institution dedicated solely to jazz - the 15-piece ensemble performs everything from rare swing-era scores to newly commissioned works, and has collaborated with orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic and the New York Philharmonic. Its educational programs reach over 110,000 students and teachers annually worldwide.
