Joe Bonamassa (born 1977, New Hartford, New York) is an American blues-rock guitarist, singer and songwriter who opened for B.B. King at age 12 and has since built one of the most prolific careers in modern blues. He holds the all-time record for most No. 1 albums on the Billboard Blues chart - 29 as of his 2025 studio album Breakthrough - and has received five Grammy nominations. Beyond his solo work, he plays in the hard-rock supergroup Black Country Communion and runs the Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation, which funds music education across the United States.
Bonamassa appeared as a guest on BBC Two's Later... with Jools Holland.
