Johanna Summer

About

Johanna Summer is a German jazz pianist known for improvisation with a distinctly personal voice. Her playing combines virtuosity with a fine-grained sensitivity to sound - she draws music straight from the moment. She collaborates with violinist Franziska Hölscher on the duo programme Interplay, where composed works and free improvisation meet head-on.
