Kamelot is an American power/symphonic metal band founded in Tampa, Florida in 1987 by guitarist Thomas Youngblood. Over 14 studio albums they built a reputation for cinematic concept records, rich orchestration and strong chart results on both sides of the Atlantic - with highlights including 'The Black Halo' (2005), 'Haven' (2015, #1 US Billboard Hard Rock) and 'The Awakening' (2023, #2 US Billboard Hard Rock, #9 Germany). Since 2012 the band's frontman is Swedish vocalist Tommy Karevik, who co-writes and shapes the group's theatrical sound alongside Youngblood.
