About

Keimzeit is a German rock band from Lütte near Potsdam, founded in 1979 by the Leisegang siblings and active under the Keimzeit name since 1982. Rooted in the GDR underground, they built a loyal following across East Germany long before the Wall fell, playing hundreds of shows in village pubs and at festivals far from the state-controlled music industry. Their 1993 hit "Kling Klang" became an Ostrock classic, and the band - led by singer-songwriter Norbert Leisegang - has released 14 studio albums while touring almost every year.
