Concert by artist Kid Francescoli in Cologne.
Kid Francescoli is the electropop project of Marseille-based French producer and multi-instrumentalist Mathieu Hocine, active since the early 2000s. His cinematic sound - built on vintage synths, melodic loops and a Mediterranean warmth - draws on French Touch, dream-pop and film scoring traditions. He broke through internationally when director Xavier Dolan used 'Moon' in the 2014 film Mommy, and the track later went viral via Netflix's Emily in Paris and shares by Jennifer Lopez and Lizzo. Over seven studio albums he has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams, with his seventh record A Kind Wave due in October 2026.
Kid Francescoli announced his seventh studio album 'A Kind Wave', due October 9, 2026 via All Night Long / Believe France, and released the single 'City of Gold' featuring Nigerian singer Demigod.
An autumn 2026 European headline tour was announced, running from London (Oct 14) through Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona and Paris to a hometown finale in Marseille on December 5.
A Kind Wave was co-produced with Robin Coudert (Rob), live keyboardist for Phoenix, and features singer Andréa Durand on five tracks.
The EP 'The Initio Mixtape' and single 'Softskin' (feat. Andréa) were released in April 2026.
The single 'Amore Bello' was released in 2025, continuing a run of new material ahead of the upcoming album.
