About

Kodaline are an Irish indie rock quartet from Swords, County Dublin - Steve Garrigan, Mark Prendergast, Vinny May and Jason Boland - who built a devoted international following on emotionally raw ballads and soaring choruses. Formed in 2005 as 21 Demands, they renamed themselves in 2012 and broke through with the debut album In a Perfect World (2013), which topped the Irish charts and reached number three in the UK. Their songs have appeared in Grey's Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries and the film The Fault in Our Stars, extending their reach well beyond the concert circuit. In October 2025 the band announced they would disband after completing a fifth and final album, We Were Only Young, due October 2nd 2025.
