Kornel Makuszyński (1884–1953) was a Polish writer, satirist and humorist. He is best known as the creator of Koziołek Matołek, a naive travelling goat whose adventures, illustrated by Marian Walentynowicz, are regarded as a classic of Polish children's literature and a pioneering work in the history of Polish comics.
