Kortez (real name Łukasz Federkiewicz, born 24 June 1989 in Krosno) is a Polish singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer. His 2015 debut album Bumerang went double platinum and earned him the Fryderyk Award for Fonograficzny Debiut Roku, establishing him as one of the most distinctive voices in Polish alternative pop. Known for his powerful baritone, poetic lyrics and folk-inflected arrangements, he has released four studio albums and built a devoted following across Poland through relentlessly sold-out tours.
