Kult is a Polish rock band founded in Warsaw in 1982 by vocalist and saxophonist Kazik Staszewski. Over four decades the group has blended punk, new wave, jazz-rock and hard rock - always anchored by Staszewski's sharp, politically charged lyrics. Their 1993 album "Tata Kazika" sold over 700,000 copies, and several later records went platinum; the band remains one of the most influential acts in Polish rock history.
The live recording of Kult's November 2024 Tenerife concert began rolling out on vinyl in parts from June 2025, released as a six-LP limited edition set.
In late March 2025 Kult postponed two concerts (Rzeszów and Łódź) due to a deterioration in frontman Kazik Staszewski's health; new dates were subsequently announced.
Pre-orders opened in February 2025 for the six-part vinyl release "Kult Tenerife 2024", documenting the band's historic outdoor concert in Playa Paraiso attended by over 2,000 fans.
On 29 November 2024 Kult performed an open-air concert at Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife, playing a set of over 40 songs spanning four decades of their catalogue.
For summer 2025 Kult launched the open-air "KULT - Live in..." tour, with shows at amphitheatres in Płock, Kielce and Opole, followed by the autumn Trasa Pomarańczowa.
