Kyle Dixon is an American composer and electronic musician from Austin, Texas, best known as one half of the scoring duo behind Netflix's Stranger Things. Together with Michael Stein - both members of the synth band S U R V I V E - he composed all five seasons of the show's score, drawing on analog synthesizers and the sonic palette of 1980s film composers such as John Carpenter and Tangerine Dream. The work earned them a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music and two Grammy nominations.
