About
Lacrimas Profundere is a German gothic metal band founded in 1993 in Waging am See, Bavaria, by guitarist Oliver Nikolas Schmid - the only constant member across more than three decades. Starting out in doom and death metal, the band gradually shifted toward gothic rock, releasing over a dozen studio albums on labels including Napalm Records and Steamhammer/SPV. Their 2006 album 'Filthy Notes for Frozen Hearts' brought wider recognition after Jackass star Bam Margera featured its songs on his MTV show.
