About

Lambchop is an American band from Nashville, Tennessee, active since the mid-1980s under the creative direction of singer-songwriter Kurt Wagner. Their music resists easy classification - country, soul, jazz, chamber pop and electronica have all passed through the band's ever-shifting lineup, which at its largest has numbered close to 20 musicians. AllMusic called them "arguably the most consistently brilliant and unique American group to emerge during the 1990s", and their 2000 album Nixon broke the band through to a wide European audience.
