Laura Pausini is an Italian pop singer from Solarolo, Emilia-Romagna, who broke through in 1993 by winning the newcomers' section at the Sanremo Music Festival with 'La solitudine'. Over a career spanning more than three decades she has released albums in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and other languages, selling over 75 million records worldwide. She holds a Grammy Award, four Latin Grammys and a Golden Globe nomination, and is the first Italian artist to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.
Pausini sang the Italian national anthem at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.
Her sixteenth studio album Io Canto 2 (Italian edition) was released on February 6, 2026, followed by the Spanish-language Yo Canto 2 on March 13, 2026, both on Warner Music.
Pausini received Billboard Italy's Global Icon award at a ceremony held at the Vatican in the presence of Pope Leo XIV.
She received the Billboard Icon Award at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami - the first Italian artist to receive this honor.
Pausini announced the Io Canto World Tour 2026/2027 - her eleventh world tour - alongside the lead single 'La mia storia tra le dita / Mi historia entre tus dedos'.
