Lech Janerka (born 2 May 1953 in Wrocław) is a Polish rock musician, bassist, vocalist, and songwriter who rose to prominence as the leader of Klaus Mitffoch, the Wrocław post-punk/new wave band whose 1984 self-titled album is widely regarded as one of the most important records in Polish rock history. After leaving the band in 1984 he built a solo career marked by long gaps between releases and a consistently literary, irony-laden style. His 2023 comeback album "Gipsowy odlew falsyfikatu" - his first studio record in 18 years - reached #2 on the Polish charts and earned him five Fryderyk awards in 2024, including Artist of the Year.
Janerka won five Fryderyk awards at the 2024 ceremony in Gliwice, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (Alternative), Song of the Year, Composer of the Year, and Author of the Year.
His studio album "Gipsowy odlew falsyfikatu" was released on 17 November 2023 - his first new studio record in 18 years - and debuted at #2 on the Polish album chart.
Janerka performed a special finale concert of his "Gipsowy odlew i inne" tour at the Narodowe Forum Muzyki in his home city of Wrocław on 2 March 2025.
The touring campaign continued into autumn 2025, with concerts in Elbląg (6 September) and Szczawno-Zdrój (28 September).
