About

Led Zeppelin were a British rock band formed in London in 1968 by guitarist Jimmy Page, who recruited vocalist Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. Active for just twelve years, they released eight studio albums that redefined the boundaries of hard rock and heavy metal, blending blues, folk, and Eastern influences into a sound that sold an estimated 200 to 300 million records worldwide. The band disbanded in December 1980 following Bonham's death, and in 2025 Forbes ranked them the greatest rock band of all time.
