Lord Finesse (born Robert Hall Jr., February 19, 1970, The Bronx, New York) is a rapper, producer, and DJ who founded the D.I.T.C. (Diggin' In The Crates) collective - the crew that shaped New York underground hip-hop through the 1990s with members including Big L, Diamond D, Fat Joe, O.C., and Buckwild. His 1990 debut Funky Technician, produced in part by DJ Premier and Diamond D, is a cornerstone of East Coast boom-bap; he later produced "Suicidal Thoughts" on Biggie's Ready to Die and a large portion of Big L's debut Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous. He continues to tour internationally as a DJ and live performer.
Lord Finesse contributed production to Big L's posthumous album Harlem's Finest: Return of the King, released October 31, 2025 on Mass Appeal Records.
