Lukas Rietzschel is a German author born in 1994 in Räckelwitz, eastern Saxony. His debut novel „Mit der Faust in die Welt schlagen" (2018) was widely praised and later adapted for film. His writing focuses on life in eastern Germany after reunification, small-town experience, and the search for belonging.
