About
Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in the 1960s and widely regarded as pioneers of Southern rock. They are best known for anthems such as „Sweet Home Alabama" and „Free Bird". A 1977 plane crash claimed three members including vocalist Ronnie Van Zant, but the band reformed and has continued performing since.
