About
Maiden uniteD is an acoustic tribute project founded in 2006 in the Netherlands by bassist Joey Bruers, bringing together musicians from various bands to reimagine Iron Maiden's catalogue in entirely new acoustic and orchestral arrangements. The project grew out of a one-off show for the Dutch Iron Maiden fan club in Eindhoven, where Iron Maiden's own Steve Harris attended and gave the band his approval. Over more than 40 collaborating musicians have passed through its ranks - including Anneke van Giersbergen, Ruud Jolie (Within Temptation) and cellist Perttu Kivilaakso (Apocalyptica) - and the project has released four studio albums since its debut in 2010.
