About
Makthaverskan is a Swedish post-punk band from Gothenburg, active since 2008, whose name translates roughly as 'the female power-holder'. Fronted by vocalist Maja Milner, the five-piece weaves jangle pop, shoegaze and dream pop into a sound driven by raw emotional intensity. Their 2016 album 'III' brought them international recognition, and in April 2026 they released their fifth record, 'Glass and Bones', on Welfare Sounds & Records.
