Manja Präkels is a German writer, musician and activist who grew up in Brandenburg. Her work repeatedly engages with right-wing extremism, memory and everyday life in eastern Germany. Her debut novel „Als ich mit Hitler Schnapskirschen aß" (2017) won the Preis der Literaturhäuser.
