About

Marc Martel (born November 16, 1976, Montreal) is a Canadian singer-songwriter best known for his uncanny vocal resemblance to Freddie Mercury. He fronted Queen's official tribute project, the Queen Extravaganza, after winning a competition organised by Roger Taylor in 2011, and later contributed parts of Mercury's singing voice to the Oscar-winning 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. Alongside his Queen-related work he maintains a solo career rooted in Christian rock, going back to his 13 years with the Juno Award-winning band Downhere.
