Concert by American singer-songwriter Maria Taylor in Braunschweig.
Maria Taylor (born 1976, Birmingham, Alabama) is an American singer-songwriter working across indie folk, dream pop, and chamber pop. She first gained wider attention as one half of the duo Azure Ray alongside Orenda Fink, and has since built a solo catalog of nine albums on her own Flower Moon and, most recently, Million Stars Records. A multi-instrumentalist - guitar, piano, and drums - she has collaborated with Bright Eyes, Phoebe Bridgers, Moby, and Michael Stipe, and served as drummer on Bright Eyes' 2023 world tour.
Maria Taylor released her ninth solo album Story's End on April 3, 2026 via Million Stars Records, her first solo record in seven years.
Story's End received positive reviews from multiple outlets, with critics praising its chamber-pop arrangements and emotionally candid songwriting.
Maria Taylor signed to Million Stars Records in August 2025, with A&R handled by Conor Oberst.
Taylor joined Bright Eyes as their drummer for the band's 2023 world tour covering the United States, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand.
