Maryla Rodowicz (born Maria Antonina Rodowicz, 8 December 1945 in Zielona Góra) is a Polish singer, guitarist and actress whose career spans more than six decades. She has released over 34 studio albums, recorded some 2,000 songs, and sold more than 15 million records - earning platinum and gold certifications along the way. Her music weaves together pop, folk and rock, and songs like "Małgośka", "Niech żyje bal" and "Remedium" have become fixtures of Polish cultural memory. She holds the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Gold Medal for Merit to Culture - Gloria Artis.
