Max Raabe & Palast Orchester - Hummel streicheln
Max Raabe & Palast Orchester present "Hummel streicheln" – an evening of elegant orchestral music.
Max Raabe & Palast Orchester is a Berlin-based ensemble founded in 1986 by baritone Max Raabe (born 1962 in Lünen) while he was studying opera at the Berlin University of the Arts. The group revives the dance and cabaret music of Weimar-era Germany - the 1920s and 1930s - with meticulous period arrangements, dry wit, and elegant stagecraft. Their 1992 original hit "Kein Schwein ruft mich an" launched them into the German charts, and they have since performed at Carnegie Hall, the Waldbühne Berlin, and venues across Europe, North America, and Asia.
